Eli's First Birthday Party

Yesterday we had Eli's first birthday party, rubber ducky theme. It turned out great and was a lot of fun. We had the sprinklers set up under the trampoline and two little pools, the kids had a blast! Ben said we are total rednecks now.... :) Elli loved the pool, liked his cake and by the time he opened his presents he could barely keep his eyes open! It was great to see everyone, good times were had by all.

Getting ready for Eli's birthday party

Ethan got to stay the night with Ginny and Grandpa so Ben and I woke up and had a nice morning with our birthday boy. Then we got the house ready and started finishing the cakes for the party. Mom and Ethan came over and we all set out to make the cakes. My plan was two bathtubs with rubber ducky's however Ben said he likes to play in the toilet as much as the bath so can I make a toilet with a duck in it. I thought he was kidding but no he really did and actually it was very cute. :) He and mom made the frosting as we had to experiment with 7 minute frosting as Eli is allergic to milk. At that point the house and everything was ready so Ethan, Eli and I had a picnic and played outside before naps so they would be well rested for the party.

Girls Day Out

On Saturday all the ladies went out together to celebrate my cousin DJ's birthday. We got lunch and then saw Mamma Mia. It was a really fun time and wonderful to be out just with the girls. :)

Swimming with my "girlfriend"

Ethan and Rylee have been friends since they were about 4 months old. Rylee is so funny she calls Ethan her "boyfriend." So, today Ben and I took the boys to the local pool and met the Cornwalls and the Brockes. They both had a time great swimming and playing in the water with friends.

Eli turns 1

Yesterday Elijah Craig Kincheloe turned one. It is hard to believe that he is already one, my baby is one. Time goes too fast, who would have thought five years ago that I would have two boys, one that is now 4 and the other is one. They are complete joys and so much fun to be around, even though they can be exhausting at times. Ben had his last "official" day of school yesterday and got out early so he got to spend the whole day with the birthday boy while I worked. Then we enjoyed a birthday dinner and a non-dairy concoction for a cake. :) We are having a small party on Sunday for him.

Eli is also starting to walk, he took about 7 consecutive steps yesterday, he is pretty wobbly but getting it! He is so cute and has the biggest smile the entire time. I am very lucky to have such great boys!

A day at the lake

This past Friday we went to Lucky Peak with our friends Kelly and Fuli and their kids. It was a beautiful day and so nice to be out on the water enjoying Idaho recreation! They had a great camp site set up so we enjoyed great food, boating and sunshine. Eli loved riding in the boat, Ethan wasn't too sure at first but loved it after a while. We all went tubing and that was great, except Ethan scared us to death and didn't let go as the tube went under with he and Ben. He was a little scared when he first got up but we got him back on the tube and he was fine. That evening we enjoyed a great BBQ and then had smores. We were all exhausted by the time we got home but it was well worth it! Thanks Kelly and Fuli!

Eli's Room

Eli's room is really taking shape. It is very green but cute anyway... :) Ben and Ethan helped me put up pictures and it looks very nice. It has turned into kind of an Asian theme (go figure)but we all really like it. It is very peaceful and I think Eli is enjoying having his own room. He is starting to take a few steps and in a few days will be one, I can't believe it!

Home Alone...

This past weekend Ben went to the annual karate camp in Ellensburg, Wa so I was home alone with the boys. Since they were still recovering and couldn't be out in public I decide it was a good time to actually paint Eli's room. I have never painted by myself before...I know pathetic but true so I decide to prove to myself and Ben that I could do it. I would paint after the boys went to bed and then at nap time. I finished the room in two days and for my first time I think it looks pretty good. Now I am working on decorating it and getting it ready for his first birthday, hey better late then never. I love having a room with color so if Ben will let me I would like to start painting more of the house. Since my parents left the house is missing a lot of furniture :) so maybe some color would help as there is nothing in the budget for more furniture right now.

A day in the life...

An average day around here well is never average...two boys keep us on our toes. As you can see Eli is trying to start to walk and Ethan well Ethan is busy as ever. They love doing everything together, even taking a bath in my sink...thanks Ginny. I also put in a picture from Ethan's birthday, when he received his trampoline and a family day at the zoo.

4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July up in Woodland, Wa at our friends cabin. Every year they have a parade for the kids, so here we all preparing for that. We had a great time and before we ended up having to take Eli to the hospital :( for a high fever we enjoyed jet skiing and being with friends!

Nampa School of Karate OPENS!

Last night out karate school officially opened its doors. The karate school looks amazing, everyone has worked so hard and it really shows. We had a great turn out, the classes were full of spirit and pride! Also, having a window front building attracts a lot of lookers which will hopefully boost business. Here's to a successful business and a grand adventure!

Back home...`

After a wonderful yet eventful trip across what seems the entire Northwest we are home. We ventured to Yakima, Seattle, Woodland and even Portland. It was an amazing trip, except for Eli getting really sick and Ben and I taking him to the emergency room the night of the 4th, not quite what we had planned for Eli's first 4th of July poor thing. Before that though we enjoyed seeing old friends, camp fires and riding jet ski's in the rain on the lake. We are now home and busy unpacking, Ethan has a fever today however so I think most of my time will be spend doctoring the boys.....

Front Yard

Here we are hanging out in at their house. Most of the pictures are in the Orkney's front yard.  Ethan started rolling down the hill on the neighbor's crawler.  Yes, it had flames!

Here we are at the Seattle Aquarium.
