Our 5 year Anniversary

On Saturday, August 16th Ben and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary. It was a wonderful night! First, we went over to visit friends who were visiting from California and then Ben surprised me and took me to Mona Lisa (a fondue restaurant) for dinner. We went there last year and after the meal you get to write each other a note, put it in a bottle and read it the following year. That was a lot of fun. After dinner, we went to my parents house to enjoy an nice evening alone. Mom and Dad kept the boys at our house for us for the night. We enjoyed wine by candlelight on the patio by the creek and just had a wonderful evening...sleeping in was a HUGE bonus too! :)

Renee and Tom

The Rensinks had a little get together to celebrate Kevin and Renee's graduation plus look at the wedding video. Ben and I couldn't stay too long as we had reservations for our anniversary but we wanted to see everyone, especially Renee and Tom before they head back to Cali. (I will sure miss you lady!)

Papa's Log Cabin

My Papa was born in a log cabin in Cowiche, Wa. The cabin was built in 1917. The cabin has since been donated to the Agricultural Museum in Union Gap, Wa. As we were leaving Yakima from the funeral, dad wanted to show the boys where his father was born. It was a neat experience for them. Ethan had a lot of questions about all the items that they have displayed in the house.

Look at all our cousins

Papa's Passing

My Papa (grandpa) passed away last week. Therefore all the Amos family gathered in Yakima last Thursday to celebrate his wonderful life. The funeral was a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man. My Uncle Gery did a slide show that was amazing. After the funeral and the reception, immediate family went back to my grandparents house to enjoy more memories. It was great to have everyone together even though it was a sad occasion that brought us all together. We love you Papa!

Uncle Brocky...YAHOO

The boys got to see Uncle Brocky last week and they were so excited. They love their uncle, Ethan won't leave his side whenever he is around!

Swim Lessons

Ethan is in his third round of swim lessons this summer. This time we did them at the outdoor pool. He had so much fun and is really starting to "swim." His brother loves the water too, I had a hard time keeping him out while Ethan did his lessons.

Hanging out...just the two of us

Ouch mom that hurt....

Do you ever have those days where you feel like a horrible parent....well read this and you won't feell so bad. I was playing with Eli in his room and while lifting him up I bonked his head into the fan. I felt SO bad so here in my little brave dude with his big bump. (Eli mommy loves you so much, sorry!)

Sword Seminar

We had guest teacher from Yakima come over to our dojo and teach a sword seminar. It turned out great, our students loved it and it was a lot of fun!

Swimming with cousins

We were lucky enough to meet Auntie Joy, Donavon and Brennen at the pool. It was very hot so it felt great to play around in the cool water. Both the boys had a blast, they love playing with their cousins.

I love my big brother

It is so much fun watching Eli and Ethan play together. Eli is enamored by his big brother, his face lights up when Ethan walks in the room. They love to wrestle and play together, it is wonderful to watch!
